The Miami District Network Office was started by Charles R. Downs Jr, CFP, CLU in December 2002. Through Chuck's guidance, the office has earned a reputation of excellence and leadership . Three Miami Financial Representatives have been honored both Nationally and within the company's Southern Region for leading all 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year Financial Representatives.  Ten of Miami's new Representatives have also qualified for Northwestern Mutual's prestigous PACESETTER FIRST 40, an award that only 1 out of every 10 Financial Representatives qualify for nationally.


The Miami Group is the only office out of over 230 District Network Offices to qualify for both Northwestern Mutual's GROWTH AWARD and OARS AWARD each of the past five years. In addition, the office has twice finished #2 nationally in New Financial Representative Sales. In 2006, The Miami Group qualified for the ACHIEVEMENT AWARD, a measure of overall District Network Office performance.
